My Experience with Cats and dogs on the streets break your heart.:

Dogs and cats on all the streets of Egypt are very friendly, but looking skinny depends on feeding, if you love animals, be prepared to give leftovers to your cat or dog.

My experience / while wandering the streets of Cairo I saw a small cat among a pile of rubbish, I played with the cat and gave him some food from my lunch

You will see horses in Luxor, Aswan, too thin and skinny, they can hardly pull the carts

I hope that the welfare of animals in Egypt will be better despite the efforts of the Ministry of the Environment to protect animals, sterilize them and protect them from disease.
